South East Hampshire Community Outlook
What We Do
SEHCO is a registered charity that was originally established to provide activities for young people living in social housing in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire. It exists to promote community – and we run two thriving community centres that are available for hire. We have also led a major Big Lottery Funded initiative to deliver arts and sports activities for local 10-18 year olds.
To provide these services, SEHCO has a small number of paid employees and a group of active and committed volunteers.
We also help voluntary groups throughout the area that have similar aims. In the decade since it was created, SEHCO has secured funding from First Wessex, Lloyds TSB, The Big Lottery, VIVID Housing Ltd, Portsmouth City Council, Fareham Borough Council, HIWCF, Abri, Partnership Foundation, McColls, Asda, and others to help undertake this work.
A progressive organisation, SEHCO continues to evolve but it remains true to its roots. It is led by the community for the community.
SEHCO runs two thriving community centres in Portsmouth and Fareham, offering comfortable, flexible, Wi-Fi-equipped space. These are bookable for meetings, training, parties, and other activities.
