Visit of ‘The Corridor’ at Portsmouth Guildhall

SEHCO Trustees and Staff were recently invited to a tour of the infamous ‘silver’ corridor at the Portsmouth Guildhall, which is adorned with real silver treasures, with a total value being in the millions!

Lord Mayor Ken Ellcome personally gave us a tour of his Suite, the adjoining treasure trove corridor plus the Chambers.  It really was fascinating with lots of historical facts and valuable items to look at which dated back to the 1600’s.

The Lord Mayor encourages us all to learn about the history of the City of Portsmouth and you can certainly learn a lot from Portsmouth Guildhall.  It is a beautiful building and has lots of stories to tell.  You can find out more here
